Dr. Alfred Lit passed away at the Abbey Nursing Home, Carbondale, three months shy of his 86th birthday, on August 15th of the year 2000. His last work of authorship was his obituary.
His loving wife Jean, of 53 years of marriage, was by his side at his death. He was buried after a private service on August 18th at Baron Hirsh Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.
